Overwriting a Wrong is a Side Mission within the Carcadia District of Dominion that requires players to help an inventor destroy a prototype killer drone to halt the homicidal tendencies that have popped up in the Timekeeper’s drones throughout Kairos. However, this Borderlands 4 Side Mission features a puzzle that might be hard to follow for some players without help, and there’s also a pretty pesky bug that we’ve figured out a fix for so that you can ensure the Side Mission is completed with little issue.
How to Enter the Factory and Find the Complete Drone in Borderlands 4
To start, players are going to want to take the modified ECHO log from Terry, and afterwards, they can find the entrance to the factory just above him, so look up and use the grapple point to get into the factory. At this point, it’s a good idea to clear the factory out of Order troops, as the puzzles required in the steps ahead require focus and your gun, so it’s best to get rid of any distractions and threats.
To find the completed drone, just head south within the factory, and you can find a disabled drone on the truck bed of a vehicle. Approach the drone and interact with it to upload the virus, but the quest step will fail and require you to head elsewhere.
How to Find and Destroy the First Jammer in Borderlands 4
The first jammer can be found on the north side of the factory, and players can take the yellow stairs up to reach it. Once you’re here, simply interact with it to see it hacked by ECHO-4. This will spawn the jammer’s internal code, which is a puzzle that requires you to shoot the red prisms, also known as nodes. Just use any gun to destroy the nodes, but we recommend any gun that uses bullets and not explosives, as well as one with good accuracy and not pellet spread like a shotgun.
How to Find and Destroy the Second Jammer in Borderlands 4 (Jammer Not Spawning Fix Solution)
With the first jammer destroyed, head to the west side of the factory to locate the next jammer. Interact with it to see a new node puzzle appear. However, some players might have a glitch where the puzzle never spawns in, thus meaning there are no nodes to shoot. If you encounter this issue, then all you need to do to fix it is use a Fast Travel Station and return to the factory straight after. We opened the map and used the Fast Travel Station closest to the factory, Final Defiance, and then ran back to the factory, and the node was there.
If this fix did not work, then simply return to the Main Menu, as this should spawn you at a checkpoint within the factory, and the nodes should reappear.
For this set of nodes, players need to be careful not to shoot the blue spheres. Players must only shoot the red triangular nodes, but the order does not matter, as long as the blue spheres are not shot.
How to Find and Destroy the Third Jammer in Borderlands 4
Return south where you encountered the disabled drone, and keep heading south to find an open room. Look up from within this room and use the grapple point to reach the top and find the final jammer. Hack this once again by interacting with it, and only shoot the red nodes, ignoring the blue ones. If you do shoot the blue ones, you will simply have to restart the third jammer puzzle. With the third jammer destroyed, jump down and return to the drone to begin uploading the virus onto it.
How to Compile the Code in Borderlands 4
Now that players have returned to the drone, they will need to hack it again. This will start yet another red Order nodes puzzle, where players can destroy the red nodes without destroying the blue nodes. After, it’s a defense mission, where enemies will continue to spawn while the code is compiled. This takes around 100 seconds, and progress can be delayed if a Seeker Drone makes it to the drone you are protecting. Your priority should always be killing the Seeker Drones, as they will spawn a red node that needs to be destroyed before progress can continue. After 100% of the code has been compiled, the drone will spring to life and become friendly, completing the quest and ensuring further disruptions of the Timekeeper’s plans.
